  My first ever afternoon tea!! It was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful. Pub was beautiful, first visit and hope to return. Coffee was delicious too.

  The food is delicious, however the portions appear mean, the salad that accompanied one sandwich was a poor effort and a member of our party was charged almost ten pounds for a scallop starter with very small scallops and the sea bass was served with two pieces of broccoli. This is not good enough. The sea bass and mash portion was appropriate and tasted wonderful, the bread and hummus was so delicious, the bread stole the show with more portions ordered by all in our party. The dessert with strawberries, jelly and ice cream is heaven. It is tastefully decorated with a pleasant seating area outside. They have offers on bottles of prosecco and champagne with a sensible cocktail menu as well as a wide selection of beers and ales. However, the inconsistent portions and high prices let down this wonderfully cosy spot.
